WHAT KERB DAMAGE REPAIR INVOLVES
Kerb damage typically leaves the alloy with a scuffed or gouged edge, often down to bare metal. At GVD Motors in Lincoln, we sand back the damaged area, fill and reshape where needed, and apply a refinished coat matched to the original wheel colour and finish. The repaired wheel is then lacquered to protect the surface and seal it against moisture. The result sits flush with the rest of the wheel and matches the other three. We work on all alloy types and finishes, including standard painted, diamond cut and gloss or matt variants, across all makes and models.

REPAIR VERSUS REPLACEMENT AND WHAT IT COSTS
A replacement alloy wheel, sourced, matched and fitted, costs considerably more than a repair, and in most cases of kerb damage, repair is entirely viable. Leaving the damage untreated is the option that costs most in the long run. Bare metal exposed by a kerb scrape will oxidise and the corrosion will spread under the lacquer if it is not sealed. At GVD Motors, every kerb damage repair starts with a free assessment at our Lincoln workshop. We give a clear price before starting, and most repairs are turned around quickly to get the car back on the road.

ALL MAKES, ALL FINISHES, 5-STAR RATED.
GVD Motors is rated 5 stars and carries out kerb damage repairs on alloys across all makes and models, from standard steel-grey finishes to gloss black, silver and diamond cut variants. If your wheels are a non-standard finish, bring the car in and we will assess what can be matched. Our Lincoln workshop is open Monday to Friday 09:00 to 18:00 and Saturday 09:00 to 13:00. WhatsApp us a photo of the damage before visiting and we will come back quickly with an early indication of what is involved and what it is likely to cost.
